LUTHERUN CROSS COUNTRY FALL SEASON 2024
LUTHERUN FALL SEASON 2024
– SPORTS PHYSICAL: Participants must have an IHSAA Physical Evaluation form completed and on file with LutheRun (ESM). Complete the ENTIRE packet, not just the physical form. Non-ESM students should turn in a copy to the coaching staff during the first week of practice. For ESM students – coaches will have access to your physical. – ATHLETIC FEE: Athletes must pay the athletic fee of $60. ESM athletes will be charged directly through the Sycamore billing program. Non-ESM athletes may pay cash or check to ‘ESM or Emmanuel-St. Michael’ and bring to the first practice.
– PRACTICE INFO: Practices will start on Tuesday, August 13th for 6th-8th grades and on Tuesday, August 20th for 4th & 5th grades. Practices will be held at the Fort Wayne Seminary (meet by the bleachers at the track). Practices will generally be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will be some variability on weeks with a meet. Practice times will be from 4:00-5:30. Parents are responsible for transporting their child to practices and competitions.
– MEET INFO: Meets are scheduled on various days and various locations. See team schedule for dates. Every meet is different. We will share a ‘meet sheet’ with specifics for that event in the week before. 2024 Lutherun XC Calendar
– RUNNING SHOES – Three Rivers Running Company (3RCC) on North Clinton will help fit the shoe that is best for your running form and foot profile. 3RCC offers a 20% discount on all purchases (excluding electronics) to all middle school and high school cross country athletes from July 1st – Aug. 31st.
– LUTHERUN SPIRIT WEAR: Athletes and families can show their team spirit with a variety of LutheRun Spirit Wear items. https://lutherun24.itemorder.com/shop/sale/ Orders due by Thursday, August 22nd.
LutheRun Cross Country Summer Registration
It’s that time of year again – LutheRun Cross Country Summer Registration is NOW OPEN!
LutheRun Middle School Cross Country is open to all Lutheran school students and Lutheran homeschooled students entering grades 4-8 in the Fort Wayne area. All levels of runners are encouraged to participate. This will be a time of building what we call ‘base’ miles and strengthening our bodies for the fall season.
DATES: June 24-July 25, 2024: Mondays & Thursdays, 5:30-7pm [meet on Wed, July 3rd instead of Thurs, July 4th]
LOCATION:
– Mondays at Concordia Seminary [6600 N Clinton St, 46825]
– Thursdays at various Fort Wayne Parks – details coming soon
COST: $60.00 to cover T-shirt, snacks and facility fees
